Introduction
BibleAI: Scroll Scripture ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Collect
Local Storage Only
BibleAI: Scroll Scripture is designed with your privacy in mind. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All your data, including:
- Highlighted verses and notes
- Reading progress and plans
- App preferences and settings
- Bookmarks and favorites
...is stored locally on your device and never leaves your phone.
Verse Study and Apple Intelligence
Verse studies are generated by Apple Intelligence directly on your iPhone. The verse and the study you choose are processed on your device; we do not send them to us or to any AI provider, and we do not store them on a server.
Services the App Uses
- Scripture text: the King James Version text of a chapter is downloaded from bible-api.com the first time you open it, then cached on your device. The request contains the book and chapter, plus the network information any web request carries.
- Subscriptions: purchases are handled by Apple, and subscription status is managed with RevenueCat using an anonymous app user ID. We never see your payment details. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
What We Don't Collect
We do NOT collect:
- Your name, email address or account details (the app has no account)
- Location data
- Your saved verses, notes, reading progress or study content
- Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data
Data Security
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, it benefits from your device's built-in security features, including encryption and biometric protection if enabled.
Children's Privacy
Our app is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
