Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using Bible AI Companion ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Use License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI) to provide explanations and insights about Bible passages. Please be aware that:

• AI-generated content is provided for informational and educational purposes only
• AI responses may not always be accurate or complete
• AI explanations should not replace professional theological advice, pastoral counsel, or personal Bible study
• We do not guarantee the theological accuracy of AI-generated content
• Users should verify AI explanations with trusted sources and spiritual leaders

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Bible AI Companion and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Bible text translations included in the App are used under license or are in the public domain. Each translation retains its own copyright status.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BIBLE AI COMPANION, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Third-Party Services

The App uses OpenAI's API for AI functionality. Your use of AI features is also subject to OpenAI's terms of service and usage policies.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
